Here comes the Bride - Get Married at Cosmopolitan Pop-Up Wedding Chapel

Other than the mystique and notoriety Las Vegas has with its casinos and gambling, the most talked about commodity Las Vegas is known for is its quick weddings and wedding chapels. Now the newest casino on the Strip has decided to jump onboard by creating the Pop-Up Wedding Chapel; Cosmopolitan is approaching weddings in a traditional way but also in a fun and humorous spin on the sanctimony of marriage.

This is the first of its kind in Las Vegas, a city where every casino and resort has a wedding chapel and there are more than 100 free standing wedding chapels and churches, and that is something very hard to do in a place that is known as the” Marriage Capital of the World.” Las Vegas is known as the “Marriage Capital of the World” because of the ease of acquiring a marriage license and the minimal cost involve with making it legal. To get a marriage license in Las Vegas is a simple process: (1) There is no blood test (2) There is no waiting period (3) You fill out a very short form and submit it to the Bureau along with $60 cash and a government issued photo ID and (4) a marriage license is issued within minutes until midnight every night. Within one year of receiving the marriage license, a wedding ceremony must be performed in order to have a legal union and all marriages are legal and binding worldwide.

Cosmopolitan is taking a humorous side of wedding ceremonies, which may be a result of movies like The Hangover where people are looking for the ultimate Vegas experience.  If you are wanting to try “marriage” for the night, be forever wed to your favorite pet, actually become married to that special someone or just a simple renewal of your wedding vows…this is the newest and hippest way to make it all happen. In a city that is known for themed weddings (Hawaiian, fairy tale, Star Trek, gothic and weddings with an Elvis, Michael Jackson or Tim McGraw impersonator), The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has definitely taken something borrowed, something old and made it new.

The chapel offers three different wedding packages that are performed in twenty minutes and the ceremony is performed in front of a large window on the street level for the entire Strip to see. The packages and prices are:
